Maternity Photography in Burlington Waterfront | Burlington, VT

Real moments. True-to-color edits. Timeless Vermont backdrops.

The Burlington Waterfront is perfect for maternity photos—open lake views, boardwalk textures, and soft sunset light over the Adirondacks. I’m Inna, a Vermont photographer creating natural, true-to-color images that feel like you. Below you’ll find the best spots, timing, what to wear, and simple ideas for partners and siblings. My sessions are relaxed and baby-centered—lots of breaks, gentle direction, and flattering light.

Best photo spots along the Waterfront

  • Waterfront Park lawns & boardwalk – airy frames with clean horizons.

  • Near the Community Boathouse – leading lines and lake reflections.

  • Rocky shoreline pull-offs – intimate close-ups with texture.

  • Pier/railings – minimal, editorial look on breezy evenings.

Timing & light

Golden hour (about 60–20 minutes before sunset) gives soft skin tones and glowy water. Morning works too if you prefer quiet paths and fewer people.

What to wear (quick guide)

  • Flowy midi/maxi dresses, solid or small prints; sweaters/cardigans in cooler months.

  • Neutral palette (cream, sage, dusty blue, mauve) + one accent color.

  • Partners in simple layers; avoid large logos. Bring a cozy layer for wind off the lake.

Session flow

Gentle prompts, lots of movement, seated and standing options. We take breaks as needed and keep everything comfortable and safe.

Add-ons

  • Partner & sibling portraits included.

  • Mini blanket picnic or letter to baby for a sweet storytelling moment.

Frequently asked questions

When is the best week for maternity photos?

Usually weeks 28–34—you’ll have a defined bump and still feel comfortable.

What if it’s windy or chilly?

We’ll use sheltered spots, bring a light layer, and I’ll pose you in wind-friendly angles. Wind adds beautiful movement to dresses and hair.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes—leash required at the Waterfront. I’ll plan a few shots that include your pup.

What should we bring?

Water, comfortable shoes for walking between spots, a neutral blanket, and any ultrasound or baby shoes you want to include.

What if it rains?
We reschedule to the next available date, or use covered locations nearby and quick lakefront breaks when the drizzle pauses.
